Ugly Sweater Christmas Party Game

I mentioned my "ugly sweater" Christmas party printables to my sister and her office thought it was a great idea for their office Christmas party.  She needed a few games that would work for the party so I passed along some ideas including these printables for the "Ugly Sweater" competition.  Everyone that wants to participate must throw $1.00 into a jar in order to win.  Then everyone at the party (even if they didn't enter the competition) gets a chance to vote on the ugliest sweater and the winner gets all of the money in the jar.

I also made a gift tag that matched the "ugly sweater" theme for my sister to attach to a mug filled with packets of hot cocoa for her employees.  When I think of sweaters, I think of being warm so a hot chocolate gift is a perfect match!  If you need printables for your next event whether it is a Christmas party or office gathering contact Paper Perfection at for pricing and details.

EF's World Wide Sales Meeting - Team Building Race

I recently worked with Education First and their Swiss office to design printables for their world wide sales meeting in Lucerne. They had 70 employees that gathered from all over the world to discuss strategy, sales goals and have a little bit of fun with team building.  They liked the Amazing Race items that I had designed but wanted custom printables using their logo and company colors.

I worked with their team to first design a welcome gift.  We used messenger style bags with their logo and included a company pen, file folder (for notes during the meeting), Swiss army knife, a ski hat with the Swiss flag on it for their race, a golf shirt with their company logo, Swiss chocolate and a water bottle for their hotel room.  By the time it was all filled up...I was wanting to attend the meeting just to get the bag filled with goodies!  They wanted there to be a little bit of mystery for the meeting so they had me place the number 814 on several items to peak each employees curiosity as they arrived for the event and received their welcome gifts at their hotel.  What they would learn during the meeting is that 814 is their sales goal number for the next year.  Here is a picture of the bag and a couple of the items I designed.  I actually made a badge that would fit perfectly inside of the badge holder but they liked the smaller version so that they could include additional items in the pocket along and then attach it to a lanyard so that each person could wear their badge throughout the event and add additional items as needed.

Here are more images of the items that I designed including a Task Card for their Amazing Race style game that would take them to three cities, on a gondola ride, a sled ride, a torch walk down the mountain and so much more.  Their theme was called "Ascent" with the idea that they are climbing mountains and so much more.  I also designed a badge for 10 teams all in different colors with different mountain range names like Andes, Alps, Rockies, etc.  At the start of the race each team member was given a string backpack in the companies colors and with the logo so that they would be able to collect items at each stop during their race.  Some additional items that I helped design and the teams picked up along their route were water bottles, candy bar wrappers, gondola passes, train tickets, library cards and so much more!

I also worked with the EF team on a few other printables including a letterhead and daily agendas that would be given out each morning so everyone knew when and where they were supposed to be throughout the day.

I had so much fun working on this project and even got the opportunity to scout one of their race locations, Meiringen, Switzerland, which is famous for being the location of where Sherlock Holmes stayed right before his death.  I helped plan the lunch and race and the hotel owner and I both agreed that we want to participate in the race as it is going to be so much fun!  Hopefully the weather will be perfect for running around the different towns, sledding and the torch walk at the end of the day down the mountain.

They are already talking to me about next years event which will be in London, England. I'm trying to talk them into have an Olympics theme since the Olympics will be there next summer. I designed two logos for the event based on the first design which is the logo for the 2012 London Olympic Games. The letters for their logo are EF-IA which stands for Education First - International Academy. Hopefully you recognize the red, white and blue Brittish flag in the last logo.

If you have an event that you are trying to plan for you company, contact Paper Perfection for help with printables to tie it all together at

Scuba Diving Excursion Certificate

I have a good friend that I enjoy making fun printables for and she is great about contacting me for special needs.  Her family is going on a cruise this next year and she is giving her kids a scuba excursion and wanted a fun way to give it to them as a Christmas gift.  I enjoyed designing a scuba certificate for their cruise as it was a change from the party printables that I normally work on.  If you have a Christmas gift that you aren't quite sure how to give as it won't fit in a box like a scuba excursion contact Paper Perfection at for a fun gift certificate that you can put in a box and wrap up with a pretty bow.

Pink Bowling Party Invite and Printables!

In October of 2010, I posted Paper Perfection's red and black bowling party printables with just the pink bowling party invitation.  I have sold several pink bowling printable collections within the past month and thought it was time to post all of the pink printables since bowling makes for the perfect party as you don't have to clean the house, kids will have lots of fun bowling so you don't have to plan a lot of activities and it doesn't require a lot of decorations.  Although it is always fun to have balloons tied to a chair in the lanes where you are having the party!  Below are the printables I made for Kloe's 6th Birthday party.  If you would like pink (or red and black) bowling party printables for your next event, contact Paper Perfection at for pricing and details.

The collection includes:
  • invite
  • cupcake toppers/gift tags/stickers (pick two of the three styles)
  • cupcake wrapper
  • 4x3" stripe (larger) or 3x4" pink (smaller) bag topper (pick one of the two styles)
  • candy bar wrapper
  • water bottle wrapper
  • birthday banner (5" circles)
  • party ideas and game cards
*** the return address label and thank you cards are not included in the original collection but can be purchased in addition to the collection.

The items will be personalzed for you and sent in a pdf file ready to print with instructions for how to make each item.

I love it when clients send me pictures of how they use Paper Perfection's printables for their parties.  Kloe's mom did an amazing job assembling all of the printables for her party and was so gracious to share them with me and you.  Here are a few pictures from Kloe's birthday to give you an idea for how to use the printables.

Here are two more pictures from Shayne's mom who also did an GREAT job with her party printables!

If you want a fun bowling game to play at your party, come up with a list of silly things to do each time a child bowls like bowl backwards, bowl granny style between your legs, bowl with the opposite hand, bowl standing on one foot, bowl sitting on the floor, etc.  Then print out the list and cut each thing they have to do into strips and place in a hat or bowl.  During the party have each child pick out a strip of paper with a fun way that they will have to bowl.   Be sure to have the camera ready, because the above bowling party ideas for bowling "styles" will certainly provide many photo opps.

There are more party ideas and party games included in a party idea sheet if you purchase the entire party collection.

Christmas Wine Bottle Tags

Wine is the perfect hostess gift to keep on hand around the holiday season.  Go to a local wine store (preferably one that is knowledgable about wines) and have them help you pick a great wine that you can give to the host/hostess for each party that you attend.  The great thing about wine is that you can find it in all price ranges from $8.00 and up per bottle.  I would suggest looking for something in the $20-30 range, but you can even find some really good wines for around $12.99.  That is why it is good to not go to any liquor store but one that specializes in wine, so you can work with their expert to find the right wine at a price within your budget.  Go ahead and purchase a case (12 bottles) at the beginning of December, then all you need is a personalized wine bottle tag like the ones below and you are ready for any party on short notice!  If you own a business this is also a great gift to give to your top clients and other businesses that you work with.  The tags below were made for a Chiropractic office to send to doctors that refer patients to them throughout the year.

If you would like a personalized wine bottle tag for the holidays, contact Paper Perfection at for pricing and details.

Scavenger Hunt Birthday Party Invitation and Party Printables

I love it when clients contact me to design custom party printables for them! One of my newest clients found the Amazing Race birthday party printables that I designed and contacted me to see if I could come up with an invitation and a few party printables for her daughter's upcoming birthday party scavenger hunt.  Below you will find my designs including the invitation, candy bar wrapper, water bottle label and two badges so she could split the group up into teams.  I thought it would be fun to start out the scavenger hunt "sleuthing" on the invite by reversing the words inside of the magnifying glass so that you have to hold the invite up to a mirror to read what it says.

Here are a few fun ideas for a scavenger hunt in a mall:

You must budget your money and be smart to stay within your $10 budget, use it all, and still get everything on the list. Please no running through the mall, use your manners and be polite in the stores and always say please and thank you!

1. First, get a bag from a store to keep your items in
2. pencil
3. have a store attendant put make-up on you (get a free make-over)
4. paper clip
5. cookie
6. lip stick or gloss
7. gumball
8. buy a one dollar gift card
9. get 2 perfume samples
10. job application
11. a business card
12. get a yogurt sample and eat it (keep the sample cup)
13. buy something at ____ or ___ and make sure to keep the receipt

You must spend all of your money without going over. Meet back at XYZ at 7:30 with your items. Good luck!

If you would like to host a scavenger hunt birthday party or need custom party printables designed for your next event, contact Paper Perfection at for details and pricing.

Ugly Christmas Sweater Invitations

Christmas has really been on my mind for the past month. I know it is really early to be worrying about Christmas in October, but I will be traveling 100% between now and Christmas I had to get all of my Christmas shopping completed before November. I'm sure there are still a few ends and odds that I will shop for right before Christmas buy all of the gifts for immediate and extended family are purchased and ready to go! All of that to say, because of the early Christmas shopping, I have been working on Christmas party invitations and party printables since I can't seem to keep Christmas off my mind.

Here is a group of invites that I made for an "Ugly Christmas Sweater Party". Most everyone has an ugly Christmas sweater tucked in the back of their closet and having a party celebrating that ugly sweater is a great way to actually drag it out of mothballs and wear it. Just don't let the person know that gave it to you that you are wearing it to an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party...especially if you win the prize for the ugliest sweater.

Here are a few of the matching party printables including a water bottle wrapper, food labels for a food or candy buffet and gift tags for presents or party favors.

If you are needing a special invite for your upcoming Christmas events like an "Ugly Christmas Sweater" or a christmas ornament or cookie exchange, contact Paper Perfection for pricing and details at

Prayer Shawl Luncheon

I thought I would post some printables I made for my mom for a luncheon that she held for her Prayer Shawl group. In case you aren't familiar with a prayer shawl here is a little bit of information:

In 1998, Janet Bristow and Victoria Galo, two graduates of the 1997 Women's leadership Institute at The Hartford Seminary in Hartford, Connecticut gave birth to a ministry as a result of their experience in this program. Compassion and the love of knitting/crocheting have been combined into a prayerful ministry and spiritual practice which reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace, as well as in celebration and joy. Many blessings are prayed into every shawl.

Whether they are called Prayer Shawls, Comfort Shawls, Peace Shawls, or Mantles, etc., the shawl maker begins with prayers and blessings for the recipient. The intentions are continued throughout the creation of the shawl. Upon completion, a final blessing is offered before the shawl is sent on its way. Some recipients have continued the kindness by making a shawl and passing it onto someone in need. Thus, the blessing ripples from person-to-person, with both the giver and receiver feeling the unconditional embrace of a sheltering, mothering God!

Shawls can be used for: undergoing medical procedures; as a comfort after a loss or in times of stress; during bereavement; prayer or meditation; commitment or marriage ceremonies; birthing, nursing a baby; bridal shower or wedding gift; leading ritual; first menses or croning rites of passage; during an illness and recovery; ministering to others; graduation, birthday, anniversary, ordination, holiday gifts; or just socializing...there are endless possibilities!

If you need invitaitons, favors or other types of party printables, contact Paper Perfection at

Outer Space Party...To Infinity and Beyond!

My son is going to be 5 this year and he asked for a "Buzz Lightyear" party. Knowing that I can't sell party printables with disney images on them as they are trademarked, I came up with an "Outer Space Party...To Infinity and Beyond!" theme. I plan on adding Buzz Lightyear and the alien toys from Toy Story to the cake table for decorations to give it the Buzz Lightyear feel that my son wants. Here are a few of the party printables that I have designed so far. I'm also working on a birthday banner and a few other items. I plan on giving play-doh for one party favor that I will put in a clear plastic tub with the "space-doh" sticker shown below. I'm also going to give "liquid hydrogen" which will be powdered Tang which received its popularity thanks to John Glen and the NASA space program.

If you are interested in the "Outer Space" party printables contact for details.
