Here is a GREAT picture that one of my clients sent me from her son Lorenzo's Lego party:

American Idol Invitation

I love television shows and they make for great parties so I thought it would be fun to make an invitation for an American Idol birthday party.  If you would like the American Idol invite or matching party printables contact Paper Perfection at jtanddolly@yahoo.com for pricing and details.

American Idol – Living Room Edition

Let your guests know about this game before the party so they can come prepared. You can put have this activity three different ways:
1. put on a talent show where guests can showcase any kind of talent they wish
2. keep it traditional and make it a true singing contest where each person picks their own song
3. make it a karaoke contest – where you pick the songs and the contestants don’t know until it’s their turn what they’ll be singing.

Here is what you will need to organize your show:
  • Designate 3 judges (might be a good job for parents or for those who don’t want to perform)
  • Hand out contestant numbers to keep it official!
  • Create a CD of American Idol songs that people can choose to sing, get a karaoke CD of American Idol songs or choose whatever songs you wish.  (you can even make copies of the CD and give as a party favor)
  • A karaoke machine, if using this approach for the show. These can be inexpensive to buy or rent.
  • A master list of songs so you can let people choose their songs
  • A microphone
  • Some rockstar outfits (feather boas, high heels, etc…)
  • A camera!
  • A stage where for your performers. Hang a sheet as a back drop. Decorate with a party banner and hanging stars.
  • Paper for the judges to keep score
Once everyone has their song to sing or talent to perform, let each performer have a turn. The 3 judges can score the players from 1 -10 (encourage judges to be positive and channel their inner Paula, not their inner Simon). The performer with the highest combined score wins! Let them have an encore performance if you wish, just like on American Idol.

1920's Prom Invitation and Party Printables

I made lots of prnintables recently for a client hosting a 1920's party as a way to celebrate turning 30 and leaving her 20's behind.  I started thinking about how much fun a 1920's party could be and thought it would make a great idea for a Prom theme.  Centerpieces would be super simple to create as feathers were a popular item to decorate with in the 20's.  You could even have a casino area (if the school would allow it) and rootbeer in buckets around the room.

Here are a few printables and pictures for how to decorate.  I also have lots of other fun printables to match like cupake toppers, tags, food labels (for a dessert or candy bar), bottle labels, bag topper and the list goes on and on.  If you are wanting to host a 1920's party or prom and would like some fun printables to enhance your event, contact Paper Perfection at jtanddolly@yahoo.com for pricing and details.

Printable Photo Booth Signs and Props

I LOVE photo booths and fun photo props!!!  Photo booths are super popular right now for wedding and birthday parties as a photo makes a great party favor!  If you have a photo booth make sure you have lots of fun props like mustaches on sticks, talking bubbles so your guests can right in something funny (or you can have ones with words already on them) and signs that let your quests know where to find the photo booth and how to use it.  Here are a few things I designed for the Roaring 1920's party.

Here are a few more pictures of props that can be used by guests at your photo booth. I can also make fun props for a pirate, princess, super hero...the list goes on and on...party. If you are planning on having a photo booth at your next event and need props or signs contact Paper Perfection and jtanddolly@yahoo.com for pricing and details.

Here are a few talking bubbles specifically for a Roaring 1920's party with popular 1920's sayings like "Love the Cheaters" which means "Love the Glasses" to go with the 1920's glasses included with the photo props.

Valentines Candy Bar Wrapper

I love it when someone purchases a party collection from Paper Perfection and then contacts me for a new custom item or party collection because they enjoyed the original printables.  Katy Sue's mom did an amazing job with the Minute To Win It printable collection and contacted me this week for a last minute candy bar wrapper for Valentines.  She sent me a picture, the wording and said that her daughter loves teal, black and white.  Below is a picture of the candy bar wrapper that I designed especially for Katy Sue.  If you are looking for a custom design or last minute valentine gift, contact Paper Perfection for details and pricing at jtanddolly@yahoo.com

I worked on a few invites today for a Bridal Tea Party and wanted to share them with you.  If you like one of these invites but need it in a different color or would like to mix and match between the invites, I can make any changes to make it the perfect invite for your event.  Contact Paper Perfection at jtanddolly@yahoo.com for pricing and details.

More 2012 London Olympic Party Printables

Liz contacted me with a few additional Olympic Party requests for her upcoming anniversary and I also made a few extra items that I know I will use for my little boys Olympic party in August.  They are all pictured below.  I'm sure I will play around with a few more ideas between now and then as I'm trying to come up with unique "British" party favors.  Yes I start way in advance planning his party every year.  Luckily he is willing to stick with whatever theme we pick together...at least so far.

I'm so blessed to be a part of not only my own family parties, but also all of my amazing clients.  Liz has the greatest food and personal blog and I hope I get to see my printables on them after she finishes her Olympic Anniversary Dinner Party.  She has a seven course meal planned.  Oh my!  She is definitely a "Foodie".  Since my party will be for 5-7 year olds I'm thinking our menus will be completely opposite...no seven course dinner for me.

Here is a link to the original printables in case you haven't seen them yet:

Roaring Twenties (1920s) Party Invitations and Party Printables

The thought of a "Roaring Twenties Party" enticed me so much this morning along with a snowy day outside that I couldn't resist designing a few new invites for Melissa's upcoming party 1920s party to celebrate leaving her twenties behind. If you are looking for a custom design like Melissa was when she contacted me to help with her upcoming party or you would like a Roaring 1920s party too, contact Paper Perfection at jtanddolly@yahoo.com for pricing and details.

I worked on a few more printables and thought I would add them to this post in case someone is looking for a party printable collection.

Here are a few designs that I made for a client that wanted to set up a bar that her guests could make their own drinks and she needed some recipe cards to place with the different items to make fun 1920's drinks like "flirty floozy" and "dolled up dame".  She also requested a vintage water bottle label.

Here is a wanted poster that I made for a client.

Here are a few picture from Jennifer Carver, an event planner/party stylist with Banner Events, who used my party printables for a client.  I just love seeing my party printables in action!!!  These pictures were all taken David Wolf Photography.  More of his pictures can be found at www.davidwolfphotography.com

Telegram Save the Date, Invite or Just For Fun!

I had a client contact me interested in custom party printables for a Roaring 20's party to celebrate the ending of her 20's.  What a perfect theme for turning 30!  Anyways we are starting with a save the date and I thought what better thing to send than a telegram...just like they used to in the 1920's.  So I sent her some examples of telegrams that I made for other events and I thought I would share them with you as well.  One is a telegram that I made to go with a Father's Day gift and the second is a save the date for a wedding.

If you are looking for custom party printables or a fun telegram, contact Paper Perfection for pricing and details at jtanddolly@yahoo.com

Super Bowl Party Printables

With the Super Bowl coming up this weekend, I thought it would be fun to show off a few things that I made for a Super Bowl Party.  If you are looking for some unique party printables for your next event like a sporting style ticket, logo, water bottle wrapper or any printable that you can dream up contact Paper Perfection at jtanddolly@yahoo.com for pricing and details.

Race Car / Cars Party Printables

I've had a lot of interest in printables from the Cars Party that I threw for my little boy. Here is a link to the post with pictures of the printables and party: http://paperperfectiononline.blogspot.com/2010/09/i-recently-hosted-cars-birthday-party.html

Unfortunately, I can't sell printable with trademarked images like the Disney Cars characters but I can sell printables that match the look and you can add actual Cars toys on the tables to enhance the decorations and give it a "Cars" feel.

Here are a some of the printables that I made for a race car party that I can sell.  If you would like to purchase the printables or find out more details contact jtanddolly@yahoo.com

Here are a few travel games which make GREAT party favors for your guests. I print mine and laminate them and them stick them all in pencil bags with a dry erase marker or two so that they can be used over and over again. If you go to the link at the top of the post you can see examples of the finished games and how I presented them as party favors.
