Thanksgiving is really the best holiday if you think about it. There's no rush to buy the perfect gifts, no candy to buy and collect, no fireworks to amass or go see and no Easter baskets to fill. You just get to spend a day being thankful and full with hopefully the ones you love.
I thought it would be fun to celebrate this Thanksgiving season by making a simple album that everyone in my family and extended family can contribute to by having them write what they are thankful for on cards and take pictures of everyone throughout the day. Then I will pair a photo of each person, their family or a picture of what they are thankful for with their card in a 4 x 6 photo album.
Here is an example of a 4 x 6 photo album that I found at the Dollar General for $1.50. Target also has great ones for $3.99.

Here is a picture of the title page.
Here is a picture of the journaling cards that I designed, printed several copies onto white card stock, and trimmed out.
Now the album is ready to be filled up with what each person is thankful for and their photos. I will either place the blank journaling cards on our Thanksgiving table and ask everyone who's there to grab a card and jot down a few things they are thankful for, or I will put a card at each place setting with a pen. The nice thing about this is that it will give everyone something to do while waiting for the turkey to finish cooking.
This would make a wonderful gift for whoever is hosting your Thanksgiving celebration!
Of course, you don't have to limit this idea to Thanksgiving Day. You could make the whole week of Thanksgiving—or even the entire month of November—as a time to encourage your family to use the cards to write down daily gratitudes.
I have enjoyed starting my blog and thought I would like to do something special for my new and old friends and family who have taken time to view my blog and the different posts. I’m so thankful for you!

If you would like me to send you these cards and title page for free so that you can make your very own mini Thanksgiving album, leave a comment below with your email address and I will email them to you!
Let me know if you want them in color or black and white. If you get the black and white cards you can embellish them with colored scrapbook paper to match your 4 x 6 album.
Just received my first request for the cards! Thanks Noahdove...a friend from the DISBoards.
