Allergy Marketing Card

I had the privilege of being the event planner for Mt. Pleasant Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic's Grand Opening for their new clinic and they contacted me again to help market their allergy testing this spring.  They knew they wanted to give out cookies to doctors that refer patients to them for allergy testing and needed a card to go with the sweet treat.  Here is the card that I created for them using the wording they sent me.

Robin Hood Classroom Party

My child's school is big on having parties to celebrate what they are studying.  Different grades have had some really fun parties including an Egyptian party for 5th grade, a Dr. Seuss party for Kindergarten and I was asked to help decorate for my child's Robin Hood party.  His grade is studying medieval times and they have read several books including Robin Hood.  The teacher contacted all of the parents for help one week before the party and asked me and another mom to decorate the classroom.  I usually like lots of time to research and plan decorations but I did my best on such short notice.  Since the theme was Robin Hood., I thought it would be fun to turn the classroom into a forest for Robin Hood, his merry men and maidens.  I pulled different things that I already had like the metal candle stick holders, lots of greenery, a bow, Robin Hood's hat, gold coins, wooden platters, fresh fruit and loaves of bread.  Another parent picked the plates, napkins and cups.

Different parents made food for the banquet including roasted chicken legs, "trenchers" (rolls), fresh fruit, cheese, Ginger "Ale" and  miniature cakes.  Since the kids were studying the medieval times the teacher wanted to keep food that would have been available during that period and of course they could eat with their fingers.

The kids played several games outdoors including jousting, archery, and tax collecting.  The winning team won bags of gold coins.

Of course I had to make some printables to match so I made one a day leading up to the party including a menu, Robin Hood banner, a Proclamation, Sherwood Forest and Nottingham signs and place cards so the children could find their place at each banquet table.

Silent Auction Camping Item

I think just about everything needs some type of printable tag, label, or sign.  I recently helped put together a silent auction item for my child's class for the annual silent auction.  We decided to put together a camping kit with just about everything a family would need to go on a weekend camping trip.  Here is what we put together including all of the fun printables I created to pull it all together.

Our class parents did such a great job donating wonderful items that we created a second item to donate.  A grilling set complete with a s'more kit.  Ignore the background as I took this picture in the teacher's lounge at school.

Here are some of the cute tags including one for an item that I thought would make people laugh, but you definitely need on a camping trip.  (And it isn't the bucket fire extinguisher.) See if you can find it!

Veggies in a Cup for an Outdoor Party

I love parties of all kinds!  Last year one of my good friends invited us to a Wits End Ranch for an end of school year family party.  I asked if I could bring something to help with the meal and she said bring chips and veggies.  I couldn't resist making a printable for the party and coming up with a fun way to transport and distribute the veggies since it was an outdoor party.  Here is what I created...

I found a metal two tier stand at pottery barn that I loved, but it was pretty expensive.  So I put off buying it and then I ran across this stand at Sam's that was much more reasonable priced.  I love it when that happens!  I have learned if I look long enough I can always find what I want for a great price.

Here is what you need to make something similar for a fun outdoor treat that will keep the bugs off of the food until someone picks one to eat: veggies (I used cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and celery), individual ranch servings, cups that have the same size opening as the individual ranch dip (I found mine at Brookshire's) and off course a cute label.  I placed the cherry tomatoes on a skewer to keep them all together.

I used the Wits End Ranch logo but created the red gingham and blue ribbon background to match the logo.  Here is the final product!  Now go out and create something fun like this for your next event, and if you need a matching printable contact Paper Perfection at jtanddolly@yahoo.com for pricing and details.

Matt & Katie's Wedding Shower

I posted samples of the invite I created for Matt and Katie's wedding shower and I thought I would post a few pictures of the food labels and a few other things I made for the event.

Lots of brides these days do not have "wedding books" like we used to have for their guests to sign at bridal showers so I started making fun cards like these "Recipe for a Good Marriage" mason jar cards for guests to fill out for the happy couple.  I made these cards to look like mason jars to match the mason jars used for drinks at the event.  The sign said:

PLEASE FILL OUT
A RECIPE CARD
WITH ADVICE FOR
MATT AND KATIE
FOR A
HAPPY MARRIAGE
THEN SIGN
YOUR NAME
AND PLACE IT
IN THE JAR

Here are all of the items created for Matt and Katie's bridal shower all together.
